Opening Hours The expanded hours of operations are Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 10am - 2pm. Drop-offs and adoptions are Monday - Friday 10am to 4pm and Saturday 10am - 2pm. Adoption Information The cost to adopt a dog or cat is $25, which includes a rabies shot for animals old enough, and a deposit of $50, refundable upon proof of spay or neuter. The County, in conjunction with the Humane Society, has instituted several low-cost spay/neuter programs, some aimed at animals rescued from the shelter, others available to any individual with low income. Prices are accurate on August 25th 2009. The Franklin County Humane Society pulls exclusively from the shelter, fostering in their homes, and works hard to rescue and place as many dogs and cats as possible.
