Stay & Play for our cat people. This program is similar to Borrow a Buddy, but for cats and kittens. Help socoalize cats and kittens. Reduce stress for shelter animals. Stay as long as you like

K9 Freedom Rides is sponsoring a spay/neuter transport for dogs and cats for Tazewell County residents on October 27th. Dogs and cats must be over 6 months old. Dogs:
$120, Cats $100. Payment is due at registration. All applicants must go to Tazewell County Animal Shelter to register and pay. Spaces are limited so sign up today. Click here for more information.
Take a dog for a walk, or a hike, or a pup cup run or a slow afternoon in the garden. It is a great way to give a dog a break from the stress of being in a kennel and we learn more about their character. Tazewell County Animal Shelter is a small rural facility in the southwest of Virginia. Our dogs and cats are available for adoption, foster and rescue. We are fortunate enough to work with some amazing rescue groups and dedicated individuals who help us move animals to safety each and every week.
